Our babies turned 4!!! It’s hard to believe that Gabe and Zara have grown so much in 4 years. They are smart, funny, and energetic and bring so much joy to our lives. We can’t imagine our lives without them!
March was full of fun activities. We celebrated Gabe & Zara’s birthday at home with their favorite treat – a doughnut then we had a great celebration after school at their favorite play area. We had so much fun celebrating with our friends.
We also enjoyed many trips downtown to ride the trolly and the monorail and to go swimming at the gym. The kids love to swim and are not afraid of the water.

January brought lots of snow to the mountains and we loved playing in the snow. We made several trips for cross country skiing and sledding.

We spent a few weeks on the east coast over the holiday season. We had such a great time visiting family and friends in PA. We went to Hershey Park and the kids had a blast. Gabe was immediately interested in getting on all of the rides whereas Zara was a little more cautious. They had such a good time that they asked to go back again next year.
We were even able to get in a quick trip to DC. It is always great to see everyone and while we love Seattle we miss everyone back east! We flew out of Philly and our friends from NYC took the train down to see us. It was great to have a short visit with them. We were so excited that we were able to see our friend Shannon and her wonderful family on our last night.

We had a fun December getting ready for Christmas. The kids decorated our tree and enjoyed the traditional holiday movies on TV.
We got in the holiday spirit at the Jingle Bell Run, a race through the city where people dress up and sing holiday tunes while running through the tunnels. Amy’s work had a large group of people at the race and we went to breakfast afterwards.
This year we celebrated Christmas a few days earlier at home because we travelled on Christmas day to Grandma and Pappy’s house. Santa Clause brought the kids new bikes for Christmas and the weather was so nice we had a chance to try out the new bikes before we left town.
